Been a while since I've posted

It's been a while since I've posted, but am very excited to be able to create more art in the near future. I have signed up for a "Matchbook Shrine" swap as well as a "Haunted House" chipboard book swap through the Alpha Stamps yahoo group. There are so many neat things available on their site. www.alphastamps.com
I am thinking "Dia de los Muertos" theme for the Haunted House book and a vintage black cat/Halloween theme for the Matchbook Shrine. Will post pictures as I get them ready.
Have been working a lot lately, and there have been some changes at work, so I have been tied up with that.

It's Finallly Finished!!!!!

Oh my gosh...I have been working on this mural for forever. I can only work on weekends, as I work full time....it just about killed me.

4 walls, lots of detail....it is for a two year old.

Of course, with today being the last day, I was suposed to add the fairies, Tinkerbell style, using a transparency and projector....I saved cleaning off my overhead projector till the last minute, of course. The last minute being 45 minutes before I was suposed to be there. Lost the transparencies....yep, you could say I was unprepared. I had to freehand the fairies and they were customized according to the client's specifications.

All in all, I have now done three rooms in their house and am done working on weekends for a while...ready for some family time I guess.

Got up early this morning and finally finished another fairy! This one will be named, Margaret, named by my 6 year old. I found some really neat vellum quotes at Wal-Mart of all places. They were on sale for a dollar, so I couldn't resist. Also found some new stamps for a dollar, not exactly my style, but I'm sure I'll find a use for them! I purchased some cool collage sheets on etsy of butterfly wings this week as well.

I created this for a co-worker of mine who is getting ready to go back into the hospital. She has breast cancer for the second time...but this time will hopefully be the last. She has really been brave throughout the whole ordeal....I can only imagine what she must be going through on the inside.
It is ACEO sized and has lots of neat collage elements.
